Dream Dress Project Bride Spotlight: Hannah – A Life of Service, a Love That Felt Instant, and a Wedding Worth the Wait

Five women in colorful dresses stand smiling in a bridal shop with chandeliers. Behind them, a sign reads "Ivory & Main."

Some love stories are born out of stillness—those quiet in-between moments where the world slows down just enough for something extraordinary to happen. For Hannah, it all began with a swipe, a hug, and a feeling she couldn’t shake: this was different.

But before we get to the romance, let’s talk about the remarkable woman at the heart of it all.

Hannah is an ER resident just outside of Philadelphia(yes, we asked her about HBO’s The Pitt and yes–she says it's very realistic) and if dedicating your life and profession to being a healthcare provider isn't altruistic enough, Hannah exclusively chose hospitals in underserved communities during the National Resident Matching Program. Her mission is clear: to serve communities that need compassionate care most. The long hours, high pressure, and emotional toll don’t scare her. She was raised for this.

As the oldest of three girls, Hannah grew up in a home where acts of service weren't a love language—it was a way of life. Her mom, a social worker, and her dad, a paralegal, didn’t have a lot of extra, but they always gave what they could. The family lived modestly so they could continue organizing food kitchens and clothing drives through rotating local churches, embracing all denominations. Hannah’s parents didn’t just teach their daughters how to work hard—they taught them how to show up.

And clearly, the lesson stuck.

One sister is already following in Hannah’s footsteps, studying to become an occupational therapist, while Hannah continues pouring everything she has into medicine and mentorship. She’s a product of community—and she’s giving it right back.

But even the busiest hearts can find room for love.

In 2022, after a long stretch of non-stop work, Hannah decided to try something light-hearted: online dating. She matched with Kody, a man who—by complete fate—was doing contract work behind her house the day they connected. What started as two months of casual, witty conversation quickly turned into something deeper. Their first date? Takeout and TV. Simple, sweet, and the comfortable stillness Hannah needed.

And when they finally met in person, something shifted. She wasn’t expecting anything serious—but after that first hug, she could feel she was in trouble. She really liked this boy.

That boy turned out to be the man she’ll marry this year at Bohemia Manor Farm, a beautiful vineyard in Delaware. Their love story isn’t flashy—it’s steady, grounded, and built on mutual respect. It’s the kind of connection that feels like home after a long shift, a warm meal after a hard day, a hand held tightly when the world feels too fast.

At our store, we believe in honoring not just a bride’s big day, but the journey that brought her there. Hannah’s story is one of grit, grace, community, and kismet. It’s proof that when you lead with your heart, life—and love—has a way of showing up right on time.

And maybe, just maybe, right behind your house.

I wanted expert input, not shortcuts. A dissertation writing service gave my draft the polish it needed to stand out.
