Why should I shop at Ivory & Main?

We encourage you to go where you feel most comfortable and can find the dress of your dreams. Our main goal at I&M is to make sure you have up to date options to try on at the time of your gown search. We give you an atmosphere where people understand you and your body type. At the end of the day we want you to be comfortable and love the dress you chose. The experience at Ivory & Main is unlike other bridal experiences because we cater to the plus size community exclusivly new question go to app settings and press "Manage Questions" button.

What sizes do you carry at Ivory & Main?

Ivory & Main caters to Brides sizes 14-32. We can order smaller sizes as well in most dresses. For mother of the bride and Bridesmaid dresses we offer sizes plus size samples but we can order these gowns in size 2-32. We realize that you may find the perfect bridesmaid dress and not everyone in your party will be a curvy woman so we can order all sizes.

Do we need to make an appointment at Ivory & Main?

Appointments are strongly encouraged at our boutique. We are a narrow sized shop and in order to give all of our brides the attention they deserve during their vist with us we do ask that you make an appointment to ensure that happens for all.

Can we bring Children to the appointment with us?

We do ask that you leave the kiddos at home during your visit. We want to be able to have you feel relaxed and have the best experience possible to find your gown. Seeing as we are a small scale boutique there are also times that other patrons will be in the store as well, so we want everyone to have a stress free time picking out their dress

How soon should I begin wedding dress shopping?

The sooner the better. But you should begin the search for your perfect gown about 12 months prior to your wedding date. We can accommodate weddings that are sooner though. Be sure to bring that to your stylists attention when booking your appointment.

What should I bring with me to my appointment?

If possible you should bring the undergarments you are planning to wear on your wedding day (i.e..Strapless bra, shapers) Since our stylist is in the room with you assisiting with the dresses, be sure to wear undergarments you are comfortable with them seeing.

How long will my appointment be?

Most appointments are between 60-90 minutes on average. This time can also vary of course, depending on each bride and their individual decisions.

Can I bring food and drink with me to my appointment?

Unfortunately because of the type of merchandise housed in our bridal boutique we do not allow most outside drinks or any food in the boutique. If you do happen to come in with either. we will ask you to leave it on the counter in front. We do suggest you eat or snack prior to coming to your appointment, most brides and family members are happier when the have a full stomach.

Who should I bring to my appointment?

Your closest family and/or friends, people who are supportive of you and will give their honest and loving advice. We do suggest you keep your party smaller and no more than 4 people at a time. If you do have a larger group please let your consulant know when booking your appointment so we can make the proper accomadations for you.

Do you offer alterations?

Yes! We do have a seamstress in the boutique. We currently do alterations on Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only. Please call the store to book your alterations appointment with us.

Do you have a return policy?

Given the nature of our merchandise there are no returns, refunds or exchanges on any merchandise purchased in the shop.

Do you only carry Bridal Gowns?

We do have a selection of occasion dresses to shop in our store and buy on hand. We also carry Adrianna Pappel platinum collection, its great for Bridesmaids, evening gowns for formal events or for Prom. We have a very small selection of Evening wear for Mother of the Bride/Groom

How can I pay for my dress? What form of payment do you accept?

We ask for full payment when we place your custom dress order. We do accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. At this time we do not accept checks

COVID-19 Shopping Guidlines

Thank you for choosing Ivory & Main to find your dream dress! We understand that this is a very exciting time and also a stressful time to be shopping during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Our staff is committed to making your bridal experience a fun and enjoyable one but also safe for you, your family and out staff. Please read through all the guidelines below before your appointment. We will be following these rules strictly for the next few weeks-Months so please read through carefully. New COVID 19 Guidelines for all guests are as follows *Hand sanitizer must be applied when entering the shop. *We are strictly by appointment only until further notice due to the limited occupancy guideline for NYS. *All guest must remain seated for duration of appointment, unfortunately at this time we cannot have guests shop through the gowns freely or browse the shop.
Brides and guests must remain in their designated Bridal areas, Your personal stylist will be with you to pull gowns. *We will be thoroughly cleaning each Bridal suite area after each appointment to ensure cleanliness. *Bridal appointments can have up to 3 guests join the bride on the day of appointment and allotted 90 minutes so we can prepare for the next bride.
We ask that you please be mindful of the time while we all get adjust to this new way of shopping. *Mothers and Maids appointments are permitted to have 1 guest and allotted 1 hour appointment times. Again we ask that you be mindful of the time, we know shopping is hectic, but we want to give everyone the opportunity to get in.

*Pick up and Alteration appointments are permitted to have 1 guest. *There are no children permitted in the shop. Upon booking an appointment you will receive this guidlines in an email as well.
