SPRING BRIDES — this one’s for you!!! 🌸🌷

Longer days, blooming flowers, and that fresh, romantic energy… spring weddings are chef’s kiss. But let’s be real for a second, they also come with their own set of challenges.

Unpredictable weather. Rising temps.Outdoor ceremonies.

Don’t worry though, your Curvy Godmothers™ are here with the tips you need to know before you walk down that aisle. Let’s make sure your day is as comfortable as it is beautiful.

1. Let’s Talk About Chub Rub (Because It’s Real)

We love a “thick thighs save lives” moment… but no one warned us about the friction.

Nothing can ruin your wedding day faster than being uncomfortable in your own body, especially when it’s something totally preventable.

Our advice? Come prepared.

Think:

  • Biker shorts under your dress

  • Anti-chafe sticks or balms (we love Mega Babe Anti-Friction Stick)

  • Lightweight layers that keep you comfortable all day

This is not the day to “just deal with it.” This is the day to feel GOOD from ceremony to last dance.

2. Plan for the Heat (Yes, Even in Spring)

Spring weather can be tricky. One minute it’s breezy and cool, the next you’re sweating mid-photo session.

That’s why we LOVE a good customization moment.

One of our favorite solutions? Detachable sleeves.

Wear them for your ceremony (romantic, elevated, a whole moment.) Then take them off for the reception so you can actually move, dance, and enjoy yourself without overheating.

It’s giving versatility. It’s giving main character energy. And most importantly, it’s giving comfort.

3. Outdoor Wedding? Rethink the Layers

If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony but still dreaming of that princess moment, we’ve got you.

The key is being strategic about volume.

Heavy layers, thick crinoline, and full skirts can feel like a lot when you’re outside, especially if it’s warm or humid.

Instead, consider:

  • Removing some crinoline layers

  • Choosing an A-line with fewer layers

  • Opting for lighter fabrics that still give drama without the weight

You still get the look. You just lose the discomfort.

4. Florals for Spring… Actually Yes

“Florals? for spring? Groundbreaking.”

We had to say it. But also? We’re saying YES to florals.

Spring is the perfect time to lean into romantic, nature-inspired details, whether that’s:

  • Floral appliqué on your gown

  • Subtle embroidered details

  • Bold, statement floral prints

Florals don’t have to feel expected, they can feel fresh, modern, and completely you.

Let’s Make Your Day Spring-Proof

The biggest takeaway?

Spring weddings are beautiful, but they require a little strategy.

With the right styling choices, smart accessories, and thoughtful customizations, you can have a day that feels just as good as it looks.

Comfort and confidence go hand in hand. Always.

Final Word From Your Curvy Godmothers™

Your wedding day is not the time to be distracted by discomfort, overheating, or “I wish I had thought of this.”

It’s the time to:

  • Feel confident

  • Feel prepared

  • Feel like the absolute main character

So plan ahead, think smart, and trust that you deserve a day that feels effortless.

And if you needed a sign to start thinking about these details? This is it.
